July 2008

I have something to disclose to you all……and that is…my mammy is plain lazy…why?

She is supposed to update my vital stats here..but it has been 1 week since our last visit to Dr Ong.

She just kept delaying the scanning of my picture… :o ( ..why?…lazy lor…

So I can’t stand it anymore…I kicked mammy to urge her to update my vital stats…

First of all, this is how I looked like…cute..?

Cute huh..?

Cute huh..?

Well, a least daddy and mammy thought so…oh common’ it’s just an ultrasound black ‘n’ white scan only mah….

Mammy has a lot of complaining to do…at Dr Ong’s clinic.

Wah…she told Dr Ong…that I have been giving her breathing difficulties…she has been feeling breathlessness whenever she carries heavy things, walk for a short distance or ate too full (who ask u to be so greedy…?)

Luckily, Dr Ong told her it is normal to feel this way during this period of pregnancy…as it is due to the hormones…phew…!

Then she complained again…that she is having heartburn and acid refulx. Oh…my god…mammy u sure have a lot of problem..hor…one after another…?
Dr Ong told her that it will get worse as the pregnancy progresses…I can sensed that mammy is going bonkers…liao

Dr Ong was kind enough to help ease mammy’s worries…by showing a scan of me to her…

Dear uncles and aunties, so far I am doing fine..my current vital stats :

Gestation age (as of date of scan) : 16 weeks & 3 days old
CRL : ~ 10 cm
Weight : ~ 140 gm

That’s all folks…till my next update we’ll meet again.

Daddy, how was I born?
A little boy goes to his father and asks ‘Daddy, how was I born?’
The father answers, ‘Well, son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway! Your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo. Then I set up a date via e-mail with your Mom and we met at a cyber-cafe. We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive! . As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a little Pop-Up appeared

that said:

                                 ‘You got Male (Mail)!’

I have been feeling rather breathless of late… the main suspected culprit that I can think of would be my ever-persistent cough!

My lungs are way too congested and ‘phlegmy’. I have been seeing doctors (both the Western and Chinese) for my cough..and the former claimed that its due to my post-nasal drip and the acid reflux thingy, while the latter said that my body is too heaty and gave me…so concotion to brew…and ask me to watch out my diet (no heaty food)

But until now…I am still feeling ever breathless whenever I walked for a short distance or carrying my heavy hand bag. What am to say..I am giving up soon….argghhh…

Just this morning I had left with no choice…but to call my gynae’s clinic and relate my condition to the ever helpful nurse – Sherly. As she is aware of my condition, she told me that I should use an inhaler – ventolin inhaler to be exact, and should not delay the treatment any longer…wah biangz….medicine again…so that means to go back to my family doctor again, who is also my gynae’s wife.

Then I checked with Sherly the result of my blood test…thank goodness that everything is in order :o )

23rd June, Monday, 3.00 PM

Today we arrived slightly earlier and again…we have to wait. Patience is the essence of this whole visit or rather for the rest of our visits.

As we have been told that this visit we will be doing the DS test, which will take at least 30 mins. Hence, we were told to be early and so is our appointment time. Good thing…the appointment time was brought forward from 4 PM to 3 PM….thank goodness…here’s why.

Before each consultation, the nurse will measure my weight n BP and yes…I finally regain my weight and in fact I put on an all new 2kg! It’s strange…very seldom any woman has ever felt so delighted…in gaining weight…hahhaa…Well, I have been so sick that…I can hardly eat much..talk about anything that is nutritious. The moment I am on my road to recovery (although not completely yet) I started to eat as much nutritious food as my stomach can take it..or rather our lil’ one can take it.

After which the nurse…had to draw blood from me for the necessary lab. tests (Strange enough I didn’t get any ‘blue-black’ on the day or even the day after..butI just realised this morning that there’s a ’blue-black’ mark!).  We waited for about 45 mins. before our turn to see our lil’ one…but it was a session that barely last 30 mins., as what we were told earlier.

We over heard that one of Dr Ong’s patients is undergoing labour and soon to deliver…and so…suddenly…our visit was cut short…alamak! That would means no long talk…which we normally…does…lor…and the moment we entered his room, he apologises to us. Well it’s alright for us…as long as he doesn’t compromise on the test procedure, and indeed he did a swift job. Soon enough…we got to see our lil’ one…again….and daddy was amazed by the image produced on the ultrasound machine…cos that was his first time seeing the lil’ heart pounding away…and also the super fast heart beat.

We are glad to hear that lil’ one is doing fine…so far..and the heart beat is beating like 164 beats/min. Lil’ one has grown much bigger…as compared to 5 weeks ago, in fact twice the length (CRL)…oh…by the way lil’ one is in the 12th week gestation period.

Our Lil\' One at Week 12

Daddy was so amazed by it…even until now….hahaha…..well..as for me…when I saw lil’ one…I didn’t feel as amazed as daddy..maybe perhaps…I have seen such stuff before…in books…and on the media..so maybe…I still don’t feel much a thing…as of now…maybe at the later stage bah.

As of now, I have yet to feel any fluttering-kind-of feeling within my almost-no-space uterus…maybe a few more weeks..I will be able to feel it. Nevertheless, lil’ one is very busy inside …I could see all the wriggling..and movements…through the ultrasound. We could also hear lil’ one’s racing heart beat…..we managed to caught it on the video…but I have some problem trying to upload it here…

Now..is the waiting game…will have to wait for the blood test results and if all is well…we will see Dr Ong again…in a month time.
